Annett Siggins - Veterinary Surgeon
Annett qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon 15yrs ago in Leipzig, Germany. Soon after qualifying she came to Ireland to work within a smaller practice with a view to gaining a greater grounding and understanding of diseases by working on a one-to-one basis with individual clients.
After 7 years in general practice Annett looked to expand treatment options for her clients and trained and qualified as an Equine & Canine Chiropractor in 2010 (training with the IAVC, UK) She is registered with the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association. Annett incorporates the Bio-geometric Integration method into her technique providing a comprehensive approach for a more sustainable result.
Annett also trained with Holistic Animals (USA) to become a practitioner in Equine & Canine Kinesiology Taping. She finds this approach particularly useful for improving recovery time for damaged muscles and joints.
Annett also uses plant extracts and Zoopharmacognosy alongside conventional medicines - being the first vet in Ireland to use this particular type of integrated approach.
In her spare time Annett enjoys working her young sheep dog Asra alongside sharing her rural farming life with her husband and young daughter at their mixed farm in Sligo.
